Olivia L. Baylor, LCPC, NCC, BC-TMH

Founder, My Mental Health University® · Creator, The Before I Do Method™

An African American woman with dreadlocks wearing glasses, a white satin blouse with a decorative button, brown pants, and jewelry, sitting on a green velvet couch, smiling in a warmly lit modern room with dark walls and gold accents.

Olivia is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Board Certified TeleMental Health provider. She built the Before I Do Method™ after years of watching engaged couples arrive in therapy already stuck on conversations they should have had before the wedding. She trains clinicians nationally through the CPMS™ certification pathway. Continuing education credits are eligible through an NBCC-Approved Provider (ACEP No. 7739).

What CE credits do I earn from the Intro course?

The Introduction to Premarital Practice course awards 11 CE credits through an NBCC-Approved Provider (ACEP #7739). Credits are issued upon completion.

Do I get CE credit for the free 30-day companion?

No. The companion is a free resource, not accredited coursework. NBCC continuing education is available inside the paid Introduction to Premarital Practice course and the CPMS™ Specialist certification.

What is the difference between the book and the certification?

The book is written for both couples and clinicians. The certification pathway is a full clinical training and credential for clinicians who want to specialize in premarital work. Many clinicians read the book first, then move into the pathway.

Do I need to be a licensed clinician to enroll?

No. The Introduction course is open to clinicians, clergy, coaches, and helping professionals. The CPMS™ credential and Directory listing are limited to licensed clinicians. Non-clinicians receive a certificate of completion, not the credential.

How long does it take to earn the CPMS™ Specialist credential?

Most clinicians finish the Introduction in two to four weeks and the Specialist in six to eight weeks. Both are self-paced and asynchronous.

What if I attended ClinicianFest but I am not a clinician?

Welcome. The Introduction to Premarital Practice course is open to helping professionals of all backgrounds — clinicians, clergy, coaches, and educators. You will receive a certificate of completion. The CPMS™ credential and Premarital Counseling Directory listing are reserved for licensed clinicians.

What if I have questions before I enroll?
